Personal Training

Personal Training and Corrective Exercise Programs can help you get fit, lose weight, prevent injuries, improve posture, decrease pain, improve mental alertness and look great!

We use a combination of cardio, weight training and floor work to improve core strength and stability to help you achieve your goals.

Staff at Myotherapy First can design an exercise program specific for your needs.

This may be a follow up from assessment and treatment sessions or it may be an individual session designed for you.

The difference with our personal training sessions is that all sessions are conducted by experienced Clinical Myotherapists who also have personal training qualifications.

All clients will have a thorough postural assessment and health check (including blood pressure, heart rate and respiration rate) at their initial session to ensure all exercises prescribed are appropriate and safe.

Because our practitioners are experienced health professionals we offer training sessions for all ages and abilities including pregnancy.

Muscles, joints, nerves and how they present and interact within your body is an integral component of your physical make up. This interaction influences everything you do in your life and is responsible for your posture, pain, fatigue and overall performance.

Clinical myotherapists complete a 4 year degree in which clinical assessment is a predominant subject. It makes sense that your exercise programs are more specifically designed for you if you have a specialist in this area focusing on you, including monitoring and documenting your progress.

Training sessions may include some cardio and weight training aspects. All exercise programs are prescribed with the philosophy that posture and control are the foundations of all effective exercise programs. Core strength and balance will be taught slowly and thoroughly.

Exercise sessions can be arranged individually or in small groups.
